The dock and firepit at dusk, Zaca Lake

8000 Foxen Canyon Road · Los Olivos

Zaca Lake

A hundred-year-old camp in the Santa Ynez mountains, above the Foxen Canyon wine trail. Chumash legend called it a quiet place; Ben's family called it summer. The whole property — cabins, lake, trails, and all — is ours from Thursday to Sunday.

320 acres

A private valley bordered by Los Padres National Forest, ours alone for the weekend.

The lake

The only naturally occurring spring-fed lake in Santa Barbara County — swim, paddle, kayak, fish.

16 cabins + house

Recently renovated top to bottom. Cabin assignments come with your invitation.

The Alamo

The 1939 stone outdoor kitchen and bar — cocktail hour lives here.

Ranch House

Fireplace, pool table, porch, and lawn for dancing under the stars.

The dome

A geodesic dome for morning yoga, or whatever the weekend calls for.

The grounds

An illustrated map of camp — cabins, docks, the Alamo, the rope swing — is coming to this page.
